Privacy policy

The short version. If you sign up, we keep your email address and, if you gave it, your first name. We use them to email you about the Kickstarter launch. We do not track you, we do not run ads, and we do not sell anything about you to anyone. You can leave at any time with one click.
Who we are
This site is run by Innovative Infant, Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. For anything in this policy, email hello@innovativeinfant.com.
What we collect
Only what you type into a signup form:
- Your email address. Required.
- Your first name. Optional, and only asked for on one of the three forms.
That is the entire list. We do not ask for a postal address, a phone number, a date of birth, or anything about your child.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, as almost every website does. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you.
What we deliberately do not do
- No analytics. There is no Google Analytics or equivalent on this site.
- No advertising or tracking pixels. No Meta pixel, no ad networks.
- No cookies set by us, and nothing stored in your browser by this site.
- No selling or renting your data. Not to anyone, for any price.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
To email you when our Kickstarter campaign opens, and to send a small number of updates during the campaign. Nothing else. Where the law asks us to name a legal basis, it is your consent, given when you submitted the form.
Who else sees it
Three companies, each doing one job:
- EmailOctopus stores our mailing list and sends our email.
- Hostinger hosts this website.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this page, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads. No account or sign-in is involved.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it. Beyond that, nobody.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe, or until the Kickstarter campaign has finished and there is no longer a reason to hold it. Unsubscribing removes you from the list.
Your choices
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately. You can also email hello@innovativeinfant.com and ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. We will do it. If you are covered by the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or California privacy law, those are your rights under those laws and we apply them to everyone regardless of where you live.
Children
Our product is for babies and toddlers. This website is for the adults who buy it. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we start doing something different, in particular once we begin selling and shipping a product, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be announced by email to anyone on the list.
